If you’re anything like me, you’ve been rocking the no makeup look and pineapple hairstyle for weeks now. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have a break from makeup but I do miss experimenting with different colours, styles and techniques. This is a great time to explore and try out different makeup trends. And the best bit, if it all goes wrong no one will see!
I love to watch beauty videos in my free time and over the years I have found myself going back to the same beauty vloggers. I get a lot of makeup ideas, advice and makeup recommendations from beauty YouTube channels.
Here are a few of my favourites:
Let’s start experimenting.
I know festivals have been cancelled but who says you can’t have sparkly bright eyes all day every day anyway? A lot of people are scared to use bright colours when it comes to makeup but there are so many amazing makeup looks that can be created with colour. Why not experiment with your eyeshadows, lipsticks or eyeliners to create a fun look. Find a shade that compliments your eye colour or mix colours and let your brush do the rest!
Why not try to recreate this look:
Let’s get popping
A makeup trend that I see a lot of celebrities and beauty experts wearing all over Instagram are neutral eye looks with a pop of colour in the inner corner. This is one of my favourite looks and is a great way to introduce colour. This takes your makeup look from zero to one hundred in no time!
Adding glitter to your eyes creates really pretty makeup looks. I love to use glitter for nights out or events because it gives that extra special look. There are so many different shades available and it adds a pop of colour to your eyes. There are lots of ways to apply glitter so why not experiment and see what work well for you. Glitter comes in lots of different forms, so here are a few to try:
- Glitter eyeliners
- Glitter eyeshadows
- Loose glitter
- Liquid eyeshadow
Here’s my go to liquid eyeshadows that I like to use when I want to create an extra special makeup look. They are so quick and easy to use!
I hope this has given you some inspiration for different makeup looks to try out. Remember, makeup is used to express yourself so get creative and experiment using different colours, styles and makeup. Tag us in your creations, we would love to see.
